Theres a bit of an extra cost here as a result, but the cards has seen competitive play for a reason

There have been other impactful ones since this Kaladesh (2016) card, but this was a key card in Standard for its whole stay and has also seen play in both Modern and Pioneer, as well as Explorer

Plus, theres something so satisfying about using your opponents cards against them to win the game

It's very strong in any Commander brew dense with dorks and began the "tap and make a Clone copy with haste with a limitation" love affair of Red

It was a great deck in Modern until a few of the evoke elementals finally got the banhammer
