I believe this may just come down to the fact that the Amber/Amethyst deck feels a bit more original and new than its counterpart, even though the Ruby/Steel deck was excellent
The most expensive 2002 holographic e-card slowpoke I found is being sold for $400.00, but I saw others priced between $100 and $200
