Here are a few things to keep in mind when altering armholes (which hopefully you wont need to do): do your best to maintain the shape of the armscye by using a French curve or vary form curve always work from the seam lines rather than the cut lines true your patterns on seam lines In the above left photo, you can see how I trued the pattern by matching up the front, yoke, and back at the seam lines and ensuring the curve was smooth
