I feel so much hope this spring (which is more than I can say for last year) and what better way to celebrate then getting dressed up

Someone on the American Duchess Facebook album of Costume College photos said it looked similar to old fashioned ribbon candy- and you know, I have to agree

This dress has been photographed with a light weight net petticoat underneath which does not come with the dress but can be purchased separately from us if required

We dont know exactly how old the piece is, but it has a stamp in the back of one of the drawers that says it was made by the Abernathy Furniture Co and they appear to have started operations in the 1850s in Kansas (thanks Google)
